I spoke with our Indigenous Cultural Safety Officer, Sam Piper and she says that if any community group has a link with a local elder then it is fine for you to make individual arrangements for events or ceremonies.
If a group didn’t have an existing relationship then the best avenue is via https://www.wurundjeri.com.au/
So if you already have a link with Murrundindi then it is fine from a cultural protocol perspective to book him for your event.
