The 'Hills Creative Alliance' was set up by a group of folks who got together after the storm to try to support the recovery of badly affected families and others in our communities.
We hve done a range of things since then but in 2022 we applied to Yarra Ranges Council for funds to collect and archive the stories of the storm, we were successful, however we have had to manage with a limited budget.
Update February 2024
We thought that 2 years on, and now almost 3 years on, we would be able to wrap up to stories of recovery after the devastating storm in June 2021 that hit Mount Dandenong and the surrounding areas, but there are still a number of families who are badly affected.

The HCA team who have been working on the 'Storm Stories'project feel now is the time to tell the story of the storm, the stories of its impact and the stories of recovery in a book - printed on demand and archived.
